Generation Election PAC was founded in January 2005 by a seventeen year old Democratic Party activist. Since then, we have helped elect Antonio Villaraigosa Mayor of Los Angeles and David Englin to the Virginia House of Delegates. Both candidates were the most progressive in their race.
Now, we are turning our sights to San Diego. On July 26, there is a Special Election for Mayor in San Diego. We have a candidate who we have discussed supporting (guess who?), but to put our plan into action we need organizers on the ground in San Diego.
That's where you come in.
To be a GEPAC organizer, you don't have to have tons of experience. We are proud that many of our volunteers on the previous two campaigns had never been involved in politics. That's how we will take this country back.
You also don't need to be able to set aside tons of time to work with us. If you can give a few hours a week (or whatever), that's fine. Or if you want to make this a full time gig, that's fine, too. We just want you out there working hard to elect progressives.
We can't tell you exactly who the candidate is yet (but you should know ...) because we haven't yet made the endorsement official, but if you email us we will tell you.
If you have interest in becoming an organizer for the next five weeks (or however long you can do it) in San Diego, send us an email.. Our website is www.generationelection.org. We also have a blog there.

Also, go to out website and sign up for updates on what we will be doing later this year: we will be working hard to elect Democrats in Virginia, New Jersey and across the nation this fall and we need your help.
